Enrolment Information
Student Uniform

The uniform speaks of pride and provides for students a sense of belonging to Lumen Christi. The purpose of the uniform is for the students’ wellbeing, to feel a sense of belonging, equality amongst peers, safety and respect for themselves and their school.

Students are expected to be in full uniform at all times and to keep their uniform in good condition. Where this is not possible a note dated, signed and written by a parent/guardian must be presented to the classroom teacher on the day. If students fail to comply with the uniform policy we will request that item be removed. If a note has not been sent explaining the out of uniform, the school will send a note home, this needs to signed and returned to school the following day. If three notes have been sent home, parents will be called to meet with the school principal.

There are 3 uniforms; summer, winter and sport. Summer uniform is to be worn in Term 1 & Winter uniform is to be worn in Term 2 & 3. However, discretion can be exercised on days wen the weather is unsuitable as long as full uniform is worn.  Sport uniform is to be worn on the set days for physical education.

No extra items of visible clothing should be worn, eg. leggings under school dresses, or long sleeved skivvies under short sleeved shirts.

Hair

Hair should be natural in colour and any student with hair longer than shoulder length must have it tied back. Hair accessories should be black, bottle green, gold or white in colour. Hairstyles should not impede the wearing of a school hat during term 1 & 4.

Jewellery

The only permissible jewellery to be worn by the students is a wrist watch, one pair of small, plain studs. Nail polish is not permitted.

Shoes

Shoes for both male and female should be black leather with protective soles and enclose the entire foot. These shoes should be supportive. There are strict regulations regarding shoes, which adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines. Sneakers are only worn on sports days and should be properly fitted.

Coats

Lumen Christi does not have a coat as part of the uniform. Coats are to be worn outside of the classroom, and upon entering are to be taken off.

Beanies & Sunhats

Lumen Christi provides a school beanie. No other beanies are to be worn.  The Lumen Christi broadbrim sunhat is to be worn outside at all times from the beginning of the school year through to May and then in term 4.
